The Mountains Were Calling

This first photo…

Everthing in it…. is them.

And how do I know that?

Because I’ve been photographing them for sooo many years, that I know the little one with his eyes covered, will cover something on his face 90% of the time. The oldest will try to make one of the little ones giggle and always helps to make sure everyone is behaved, and promises them bribes.  And he also likes to pick his own poses and places for photos. The middle girl (who was just a baby when I first started)….they call her momma, because she’s the caretaker.  And she lugged my camera bag around the whole time, and I let her, because I get tired of it! The oldest girl is growing into her age. Becoming a little more independent. But is still wild and silly. And always very smily.  The middle boy… quiet and reserved and will do whatever I tell him. I call them all the wrong names and they never get mad. (I feel like my grandma going through the roster sometimes.)

And her… she’s glue. The crazy glue of the family. Gorgeous in every way. And I happen to know there are a few badgers that shouldn’t have crossed her path. And him, he holds them together just as much as she does. And he adores her. Absolutely, 100%,  in love with her.

And this family, I’ve gotten to know them over the years and decided to take an adventure out of town. And it was a beautiful evening. The flowers had stopped blooming  so we had to search for them. Over rocks and hills.  And of course she did this all in heels while nursing a baby.

I rely and pride myself on all of my return clients. But these are the types I hate calling clients. They are friends. And I will continue to go on whatever adventures they want to… because it’s fun, and I laugh and I always go home happy.  And they feed me zots. (Thank you for that by the way!!!)
