Urban Adventures

My friend wrote something about me a couple weeks ago…

“Some time ago, God put this awesome woman in my life. She’s wicked talented and crazy adventurous! She has spent many, many hours capturing our crazy family as we grow and change.” ….. it made me very, very teary.  And very, very thankful to have her in my life.

And we have had some awesome adventures. And we have had so much fun together. But this one, had my heart beating a little faster than others. I’m not sure they would have called me fearless. I got to shoot in one of the craziest places I have ever been in….well here in Cheyenne.  Full of obstacles…. which put me into “mom mode” very quickly when shooting children. I consider myself pretty chill. Laid back. Go with the flow. But when one of us can drop through three stories of concrete floor…. I might waiver on the careful side.

We had a blast and I got to spend a ton of time with the kids by myself. We wandered. And explored (carefully) and got some amazing photos. And we had fun. Their oldest is on her own now and they will be sending another off in the Spring. I see changes in them. Independence. They are their own people now. And I have been able to witness the change in them, slowly over the years.

Thank you friends for being a constant support to me and my craft. You’ve helped me grow more than you can know!
