A White Christmas

To complete the Christmas decorating, I decided I needed a white tree in my White Space. Since that’s where I work now. A white one of course. So I found one. I had some white bulbs and I found some beautiful chrystal/ glass ornaments for it as well. The little icicles belonged to my grandmother, so I’m glad they have a place to live now. But it needed  a skirt. I needed a white sweater and I wasn’t wanting to cut one of my own up, so off to Goodwill I went, I place I have a soft spot for. I found a cable sweater that was perfect. Got it home and cut it up. First into the tree skirt. Which I sewed the ribbing back onto, so it kind of looks like a little hat at the bottom. But it’s serving it’s purpose. And then I decided the white space also needed a little stocking so I went ahead and made one of those too. I have made stockings in the past, they aren’t really that hard, but if you can use wool instead of cotton, it’s works out a little bit better, as cotton is pretty stretchy. And now as I sit and type I see my little white tree out of the corner of my eye and it makes me happy. It’s perfect!
