Loft House Cookies with Buttery Cream Cheese Frosting

Had to go galavanting a little bit more this weekend. Over the river and through the woods through lots and lots of snow. Stupid, stupid snow. (I hate snow before December and even then I only like it for about 2 days)  Before I left I made some roll our sugar cookies, that I have never tried before. I changed the frosting recipe because I’m not a big fan of pure sugar frosting.  I had a few people that needed some sweetness along the way and up the road. This recipe has been floating around for a while and I’ve been wanting to try it.  The cookies themselves are not that sweet at all, which is what I was looking for, because the frosting makes up for it…it’s crazy sweet. (Dino dude loved them by themselves) One of these bad boys will hopefully hold your sweet tooth for a day or two or a week.  They would be a perfect cookie for christmas.

A friend of mine gave me the advice to roll out sugar cookies in powered sugar… and it worked like a charm!
