Growth and Change

People stick with me.

I have been on this picture taking journey for a while now.  And I have people that stick with me.

They move away.

A few years go by.

But with modern technology we are all able to keep in touch. Or at least get to watch each other grow.

They were some of my fist few clients. Those first years when I wasn’t quite developed as a photographer.  But they trusted and loved me anyway.

And we both have some great memories.

Their dog was one of my great memories. Their story.  And they lost her this last fall. It was heartbreaking for them.

Time goes by a bit.

A new puppy comes.

A new puppy that is so fluffy and wonderful and has the biggest paws and cannot walk more than 2 minutes without taking a break. A puppy that is much like a newborn. A puppy that won’t be a puppy too long so we caught him at this stage. Clumsy. Chewing on everything. Can concentrate on something as long as a goldfish. Their fluffy, squishy fur baby. Fur babies are important too.

Their human babies…. my goodness. The oldest. So serious. Slow to warm. The little one. A little one. They go through stages. You know the ones where they look as if they will be sick as I’m taking the picture, or teeth clenched. I like to catch some of those… because that’s them right then. Awkward and weird at times. But I like boys to be boys. I like to tell them jokes. And them to tell me jokes. (That’s what we’re doing in most of these… whispering jokes to each other.)

I’m just happy to catch up with them. Hear what they’ve been up to. See their growth for myself. Wonder what they think of my change. Knowing that I have. I change all the time. So does my photography.

Thank you guys for growing with me. And changing and catching up with me. I needed the warm Colorado air without the wind. 🙂
