I Got to Check Something Off the List

Remember this list?

Well… while traveling through Colorado this past weekend I found a field of barley. That’s a little tick off the list. I had to go back to the motel to google the difference in look of a wheat field and a barley field. There is very very little difference in looks from a distance. Up close they are a bit different. If there were power lines I would have had the Rocky Mountains in the background, but I felt they obscured the view. Beautiful none the less. There are many people in the world that will never see a barley field and the wide open space….. so again, I felt lucky that I was blessed enough to be able to capture it.

Now to complete the trio of photos (wheat, barley and hops) I need to find a hops field. I have no idea where that will be. If you do…please lead me in that direction!

    Hey Stacey –

There are some farmers in Fort Collins, right behind the Budweiser plant that grow Hops… They’ve got big signs that say they’re growing Budweiser Hops… I’ll email you a google map of the general area they were. Of course… that was when the parents last lived there which has been over 10 years! BUT… it’s just off I-25 so it’s not a long search if there’s nothing there.

Ok… Checked it on google… They’ve even got the picture of a field that looks like hops… The intersection of N. Co Road 9 and E. Co Road 52 directly behind the AAnheuser-Busch plant.

    Hope that helps!
