I often make things and love them, but more often I forget what I put in them and have to go down a rabbit hole to search for what I think it might be. This one isn’t the healthiest of sandwiches, but it is SOOOO good.
I also often go to restaurants, find something I love and immediately have to figure out how it’s made.
This sandwich was one of them. From a sweet little place in Laramie. I don’t think it’s exactly the same and of course I have to have pickles on it.
It’s a version of a monte crisco dipped in crushed potato chips.
Indredients
• Sourdough Bread or any kind of Artisan Bread you like
•Eggs (I used basically one per sandwich)
•Crushed Potato chips
•Sliced Turkey
•Cooked Bacon Strips (A couple per sandwich)
•Cheddar Cheese Sliced
•Swiss or gouda Sliced
Assembly
Make it like French Toast. Only dip one side of the bread in the egg and then in the crushed potato chips. Place a slice or two on each side of the bread and lay flat in a greased pan chip side down (Of course I just used the left over bacon grease for that) Cook until golden brown and the cheese has melted. Add bacon and turkey and whatever other fixings you like (Lettuce, mayo, mustard) and enjoy!
