Thursday’s Threads

Anyone who thinks sunshine is pure happiness has never danced in the rain.

Now, when I was in college, and quite a few pounds lighter, and carefree I wore skirts that barely covered my hind end. It was the thing. Short skirts and leggings and fat chunky shoes. And angry music. (which I wasn’t real fond of)

And then I graduated. And soon learned that really wasn’t appropriate, especially in the business world. I was happy to move on. (though I still have, just for future halloween costumes, the chunky shoes) As I’ve said before, I’m pretty tall. And as I’ve also said before, I love a good sleek pencil skirt. Those sometimes are hard to find. Anything that is 21 inches long (which is the norm) is too short. So I look for places that sell them either in a tall or they just come in a longer length 23-26inches.  And I found an awesome store for skirts.  They are very nice and normally satin lined (which I LOVE.) The shirt… well I love boatnecks and I love drapey necks. So this worked out perfectly.

I had to get a little clever with the photography yesterday. I took these from inside my house, through the doorway onto my upper deck. Not an easy task, but it worked out just fine!
