A Little Piece of My Heart

It’s not going to be long before spending the afternoon with mom,  ironing crayons in between wax paper, and cutting out hearts to hang in the windows is not going to be that exciting anymore. Though I hope it will.

We had a fantastic afternoon.

We played and laughed and talked and cut hearts.

We joked and teased and tickled.

I love days like this.

For the hearts, if you want to try them….just pound into pieces or easier yet use a pencil sharpener for pieces of crayons. On the ironing board lay down  two layers of paper towel.  Put the crayon shavings in between two pieces of wax paper. Lay another piece of paper towel on top and iron on low setting. Moving around until they are all melted.  Cut out hearts and hang with fishing line.  Easy as that!

Such a fun activity. Hayden is just starting to get into little crafts. We have had so much fun making Valentine cards this year, maybe next year we can do this!

Thanks Krista. Nothing super specials. Still using elements. I know, I need to move into this century when it comes to editing, but I’m so attached.

Kristen… that would be awesome. I would venture to guess you would probably do most of the work! The little bird is just now getting really good at cutting.
