I have families, that I’ve been shooting for so many years, that when the kids ask their mom what they should do, the answer is “to do whatever Stacey tells you to…..because she’s magic.”
It kind of reminds me of the line in Forrest Gump, where the Drill Sergeant asks Forrest Gump what his job is, and his reply is “to do whatever you tell me to Drill Sergeant.” Only, I’m not a drill sergeant and I get to make kids and parents giggle AND make magic.
I know I’m not supposed to pick favorites, but this one is SO MUCH FUN and I consider myself lucky to get to shoot them every year. And lucky to be able to catch their new babies’ first moments (yay, there’s another one coming!!!)
They are chaotic. And they laugh and giggle and play and I let them… because that’s what it’s about. We talk. They share their Zots with me (which by the way, are my favorite candy in the whole wide world.) They tell me about life. It’s awesome and I love it. AND I get hugs. There is nothing better than hugs from little ones.
