Awesome Halloween Fun!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

My kiddo has been out of school for a couple days, and what a great couple of days to have off. We get to fully emerse ourself into Halloween awesomeness!!!! There has been lots of dancing. There has been lots of silliness. It’s been wonderful! Whenever we have a day off, we tend to gravitate to art projects. Painting is one our favorites. I found these awesome canvases that you can peel the back off of and stick anywhere you want. (I would rather paint on canvas than paper any day.) This time we painted together. Trying the same pattern. He got tired of painting about a half hour before I did, so he spent the rest of the time throwing a football in the air and hanging on my shoulder to make sure I was painting my correctly.

We also carved our pumpkins. A mad scientist and the headless horseman. My husband is a great pumpkin carver, and the little one is learning as we go.  This year I decided to use the pieces to make bread out of. It turned our DELICIOUS! I’m not the kind of person to dig out an entire pumpkin to make stuff out of, but this was a great alternative. We also, as usual, cooked the seeds. I think they came out the best that they ever have. So I wrote down what I used, (I’ve tried it all!) so I have it for next year. (I use the juice from homemade pickles, so it’s a little more spicy than the stuff from the stores.)

Oh and we made ghoul drool…. the blue kind!
